Teaching StyleConstructivism is the teaching style used in this Pre-K classroom.
Constructivism is based on the theory that humans generate knowledge by connecting new learning to prior experience. This teaching style includes discovery, hands on learning in a safe and interactive environment. Music is also a major element used in this class. Music is integrated in to every subject area we study. In Pre-K children will learn, practice, and develop not only the traditional subject areas (language arts, math, science, social studies), we also focus on social development, moral and character education, and creative skills. |
CommunicationOur Parent-Teacher Communication Folders are an extremely important tool in our class. School to home connection is key to the success of your child in pre-k. Please be sure to check your child's folder every night for notes from me about what we are doing in class, updates, and school events. This is also where homework activities and work done in class will be.
